The future is fluid. I reject that there are only zeros and ones, Xs and Ys, women and men! Gender shifts from feminine to masculine and back again. Sometimes gender can set us free or lock us down. We as a society should look inwards and ask ourselves why we hold hold these gender roles to be dogma. Our genitals and gender do not determine what we are capable of, how we should present ourselves to the world or how we interact with sexuality in our public or private lives. Nor do we have to pick one side of the spectrum and stick to it. Be fluid, be dynamic, be who you are in the moment.

The gender binary is a system that pairs together sex (which is based on individual’s reproductive anatomy) and gender (which refers to the socially constructed ideas and expectations that a culture has for a certain sex). More specifically, it classifies two distinguishable, distinct, and oftentimes contrasting genders: males who identify as men and females who identify as women. Therefore, any quality (feminine or masculine) attributed to the way a certain sex is widely perceived to act within the confines of social norms refers to the gender binary. -Sexinfo Online
